In Isla's Words

A Birthday Wish

As many of you know, I just turned one year old a few weeks ago. I am looking forward to my second year of life being much easier. I was off to a rough start, however, when I heard my mother on the phone scheduling some kind of procedure requiring me to be put out again, I quickly got my act together as much as I could, and started eating again.

I am eating better although not great. I know my mom is anxious for me to see the allergist, and I am too. Boy, do I want to eat so many things but mom keeps lots of it away from me. I try not to get mad, but I really want to try everything. I sure do hate my formula and wish the Dr.'s would let me get rid of it.

I am much happier now, and so is my mommy. She had me real nervous there for awhile, but I can tell she is enjoying life and her family more and more every day. I am starting to babble and indicate my wants much better now. Amara is such a great sister to me (most of the time) she loves to keep the foods away that hurt my belly and is always helping mommy try to get me to eat. I do wish I could have whatever it is she is drinking that cup all the time!!

My birthday wish is to continue to get better and defeat whatever is making me not want to eat. I love how happy mommy has been and I love to play and enjoy life like all the other one year olds do. I thank you for all of your prayers and love that have helped me come so far.
